John Midden: the hottest security guard and thief of hearts in What Happens in Vegas

Last week, I introduced you to Prince Alexander. This week, we're talking about the character who surprised even me when he entered the story!
Originally, What Happens in Vegas was supposed to be a story about a girl who accidentally married a prince and the consequences of that drunken action. As I was working on the start of the story, I brought in the prince's security detail. Suddenly, John Midden was staring me in the face and I just KNEW he was more than a background character. He changed the entire story in a fantastic way and I am so thrilled to have discovered him and what he had to say. Here are a few fun facts about John!
Full Name: Johnathan Midden
When I named John, I wasn't thinking about his character or where he fit in the story. He was just supposed to be a background character with a few lines. I came up with a name off the top of my head that I liked and that was it. Except it wasn't, as I've already shared 😅 Surprisingly, though, I loved his name just the way it was and didn't want to change it once I realized his place in the narrative.
Age: 32
John is a bit older than Prince Alexander (and Sadie, for that matter), but close enough in age that he is still able to be friends with his charge. He is a modern man who's also been very successful in his business ventures.
Occupation: Royal Security Guard
John was a child who was interested in being a police officer. That love for the law and protecting others stayed with him throughout his whole life, eventually landing him a job at the palace. He did such a good job in his initial position that he eventually worked through the ranks and became the head of Prince Alexander's security team. The two have been together for several years now and developed a friendship neither party expected.
Favorite Color: Green
John is a fan of his country and its Mediterranean coast. He loves earthy greens and the sense of home they bring him. He believes it is due to the garden his mother grows, which is always full of leafy goodness and his favorite place to relax with a good book.
